On 15 July 2016 Securities Times", a leading financial media company, made its "Selection of best wealth management institution in China in 2016" based on criteria such as professional assessment indicators, expert assessments, and online voting, amongst others. The results were announced and Haitong Securities was distinguished with six awards: "Best institution in wealth management in China", "Best Securities Brokers in China", "Best online securities company in China", "Best absolute return product in China - Haitong capital management with annual increase in risk level", "Best team in fixed income investments in China - fixed income investment team", "Brand of excellence in future capital management contracts in China".
