Closely watching Brazil’s economic recovery, Haitong bank is working to advise Chinese companies on prospecting businesses in the country. In order to facilitate these efforts, the Brazilian subsidiary of Haitong, one of China’s leading investment banks, has just created an area dedicated to serving Chinese firms, the Chinese Desk, which aims to originate businesses related to mergers & acquisitions and capital raising through the capital markets area, as well as to provide advisory on financial structuring for the infrastructure sector, focusing on concessions. “The Chinese have a long-term vision, they are pragmatic and assertive,” said the CEO of Haitong Brasil, Alan Fernandes during an interview to Broadcast, the real-time news system of Grupo Estado.
